World Music/CRASHarts, New England's leading presenter of culturally diverse music and dance from all corners of the globe, seeks volunteers and street team participants.Volunteer your time and see concerts for free! Hours are flexible. You can sign up for as much or as little time as you can.

Volunteers for World Music/CRASHarts:

*are called into the office to help with stuffing envelopes for member mailings, outreach packets, and labeling postcards *receive hourly credit towards future shows

Street Team participants of World Music/CRASHarts:

*spread the word about performances on campuses and throughout towns by distributing postcards and putting up posters *help spread the word virally through social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc. *receive hourly credit towards future shows

World Music/CRASHarts also seeks applicants for the temporary position of Marketing Intern.

The Marketing Intern will work closely with the Marketing & Outreach Coordinator and Director of Marketing to implement many aspects of the marketing plan and publicity campaigns for an annual series of concerts. This intern position offers exposure to all areas of arts marketing - promotion, public relations and administration. Proven organizational abilities, writing and oral communication skills, creativity and computer literacy is essential. Leading candidates will have a sense of adventure, appreciation for the arts and the ability to work well within a small organization.

Responsibilities include:

* Assist in the coordination of press and publicity direct mail campaigns * Maintain media support materials including photos, slides and CDs * Create program notes for concerts, dependent upon computer abilities * Supervise in-office volunteers * Conduct community outreach research, coordinate mailings and flyer distribution * Facilitate radio promotions and ticket giveaways * Other responsibilities as assigned

• Note: This internship is flexible. Responsibilities can be custom-tailored to intern’s interests and skills.

The successful candidate will have the following skills:

* Highly organized, energetic and articulate with exceptional attention to detail * Excellent written and proof reading skills * An ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure. Must be able to take initiative and being a problem-solver * Working knowledge of Windows and Word * A background in graphic design a plus
